The Diana Elementary School will host a semi-professional wrestling event on April 19 as a fund raiser for the 7th and 8th grade classes.
According to event sponsors, Mountain State Wrestling will handle all the setup and ticketing for this event. Advanced tickets can be purchased from Diana 5th through 8th graders, at the school, or through the Diana Parent Teacher Organization.
Spread the word and help Diana out.
ReplyDeleteIt's not going to make a difference, talked to a few people already and they are still closing the school because there "isn't enough students" I love that they are doing this event though I just wish it would help- parents and everyone else will be spending money on this event an all the others to help and will just be out of money. :( I DO NOT WANT MY KID GOING TO WEBSTER OR HACKER VALLEY I don't understand why they want to make all the kids to be in such HUGE schools say what you want but I know how big schools are especially webster with the bullying and kids falling through cracks it's a shame Diana has a new school and it should be able to stay open!

We have consistently printed both sides of the school consolidation issue and have NEVER expressed an opinion for or against the plan, not that it has anything to do with this wrestling event. Here is your comment minus your personal attack: "It isnt fair that Diana has a better teacher student ratio than the other schools. And if you consider a tin building a school something is wrong. Hacker valley should have never been built. Waste of money on a small community. The board has to be fiscally responsible and I applaud them for doing the right thing in closing the smaller schools. There are less than 1500 kids in the county school district and it doesnt warrant four grade schools."
