New GoMart in Webster Springs Nearing Completion

New GoMart store under construction
on Baker's Island in Webster Springs.
While it is no secret that the recent construction on Baker's Island in Webster Springs is the new GoMart, the big questions folks are asking include: When will it be completed? How many more gas pumps will it provide? Will more employees be hired?

Repeated efforts to get "official" answers to these questions from the Heater Oil Company (parent of GoMart, Inc.) in Gassaway, West Virginia have been unsuccessful at this point, although the Commentator has been assured that the General Manager will be available to address these questions early next week.

Go-Mart, Inc. is a convenience store chain based out of Gassaway, West Virginia. The company currently operates about 100 stores in most of the state of West Virginia, and border areas of Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Some Go-Marts use Shell gasoline, while others are unbranded. The company now employs approximately 1,200 people and is the state's 41st largest private employer.
