Carpenter Up for Parole in a Few Months


Lemon J. Carpenter, age 77, formerly of Diana, and now an inmate at the Martinsburg Correctional Center, will be eligible for parole on January 16, 2013.

Carpenter has been incarcerated since January, 2010, after he entered guilty pleas to one count of sexual assault in the third degree and two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.  Webster County Circuit Judge Jack Alsop sentenced Carpenter by Order entered on December 2, 2010.
