Registered users of the Victim Information & Notification Everyday ("VINE") program received notices today by telephone or email that the West Virginia Division of Corrections ("WV DOC") is once again providing inmate status updates to the VINE program.
The system went down for undisclosed reasons early Tuesday morning but technical specialists have now restored the service. Below is the email received by users registered to receive notices by email:

According to our records, this e-mail address is registered to receive updates on the status of an offender supervised by the West Virginia Division of Corrections. You may or may not have received a message that VINE was not currently receiving status information from this agency. However, this e-mail is now to inform you that VINE is now receiving updated status information from this agency. Your service with our system has been restored. Should the offender's custody status change, you will receive a notification from us.
